Today I outlined how I want to use this blog:

Journal for short daily notes about learning and progress
Projects for longer write-ups of software and hardware experiments
An About page that explains who I am and what I’m working on

Next steps: publish the site somewhere and automate deployments from my Git repo.

Terminal-Style Hugo Blog Setup

This project documents how I created a terminal-style blog using Hugo and the Terminal theme.

Stack:

Hugo (extended)
Terminal theme by panr
Linux development environment

Milestones:

Install Hugo and verify the extended build.
Initialize a new site (hugo new site myblog).
Add the Terminal theme under themes/terminal.
Configure hugo.toml with the theme and menu.
Create journal and projects sections with sample content.

Day 1 – Getting Started

Today I set up my new Hugo site using the Terminal theme on my Linux machine.

The main goals were:

Install Hugo (extended)
Create a new blog project
Wire up the Terminal theme
Prepare sections for journal entries and project updates

Everything is running locally, and I can already see the retro terminal styling on the homepage.
